Digital SAT

What's New

Unlike paper-based SAT, the Digital SAT test will be delivered on a personal or school computer or tablet via a testing app but the test will be proctored in schools or test centers. Some other changes are as follows:

  • Two hours long instead of 3 hours.

  • More time per question

  • Shorter reading passages with 1 question per passage

  • Math questions without unnecessary wordiness

  • Built-in Desmos calculator for all math questions

  • Numeric entry questions with given number keypads

  • Onscreen notepads

  • Adaptive technology

  • Scores in days not in weeks.

Since the test will be administered digitally, test takers do not have to bring pencils or calculators. The new test is expected to be less stressful and user-friendly.
